I am struggling to find any expert that can evaluate the polishing marks on our oil sump.
I have contacted 2 different experts that i thought would be the best here in Norway. But non of them could agree the marks was a 100% proof of faulty routing under the waterpump. On the other hand non of them have any other explanation.
A friend of mine will put the diagram into Auto CAD 2D and give me the measurements of the 3 different possibilities of faulty routing.
A new belt have been test mounted as the Red rout below shows. The belt had to bee forced on with a screwdriver.
I guess its more likely the belt have been mounted as Orange alternative (Most logic since belt goes flat side against flat idler pulley)
Or as Yellow alternative (More tension then orange. but probably less then red alternative)
All alternatives puts the belt along the rim / edge of the oil sump.
An interesting ting is that Orange / Yellow alternative is identical with how the F4R-738 is constructed.
I suspect this fact can be the explanation on why this mistake have been done before on our car and on many others.
Here is the same F4R-738 without the idler pulley supporting the belt and raise it above the level of the oil sump-rim.
Notice how the belt goes exactly in the level where the oil sump are polished on our engine
To me this is a proof that the garage are responsible of the falliure after just 10months. But we are stuck until we can find an expert that can confirm this in a report that can be used in court against this filthy garage.
Is there anyone who have any connections in Renault that could be interested in help us out of this mess.
That would also do good to raise the reputation of Renault, since this garage was the previous Renault rep in Scandinavia.
That can explain why they are now not willing to take responsibility for causing this fine Renault engine to break down.
The 5 days of driving before failure was a joy. We have now for 1,5 years been forced do transport our family of 6 + dogs in 2 cars to get along.
Any help to solve our situation will be much appreciated. And its a good chance it will avoid others customers getting fooled by the same garage in the future.

Broken down at the moment (a so far 1,5 year long moment

) due to faulty routing around and under the water-pump
